Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is an investment in yourself and your loved ones. It’s an opportunity to make sense of what can often seem a confusing and complicated world, to connect with your skills and values, and to think together about how to create the future you want for yourself.
We meet, usually on a weekly basis, for about an hour. The recommended length of your therapy will depend on what your goals and needs are, but most people find that it takes a few months to start to see significant changes.

How do you work?
As a clinical psychologist I am trained in a variety of types of therapy, including cognitive behavioural, psychodynamic, and systemic therapy. This means that we can work together to build a bespoke treatment that is as unique as you are, tailored to your specific needs and preferences. Being located in the beautiful surroundings of Yew Tree Farm means that we also have the rare opportunity to integrate animals and nature into our sessions, making our sessions not only more engaging, but more effective.

What can you help me with?
People come to psychological therapy for all sorts of reasons. Common reasons include the desire to:
-
learn helpful ways of managing intense emotions like anxiety, low mood, stress, anger, or even love
-
better understand and accept your authentic sense of self; including sexuality and gender identity
-
develop effective communication skills and/or stronger relationships
-
make sense of confusing or distressing experiences you have now, or had in the past
-
find ways of living well alongside experiences of chronic pain or illness
-

Whether you want to learn more about yourself, to develop your strength and resilience, or to work on a particular problem or difficulty, get in touch to discuss how we might be able to work together to meet your goals.
How much do you charge?
I am currently offering an introductory rate of £85 per session. This price reflects the eight years of university-level education and buckets of practical experience it takes to train as a clinical psychologist (not to mention the cost of taking care of my co-therapists, the wonderful farm animals). However, I believe that therapy should be accessible to everyone, and I understand that Covid-19 has impacted a lot of people’s finances. If you are interested in working with me but feel that you cannot commit to this weekly price, please get in touch to discuss possible adjustments.

How can I find out more?
If you are interested in finding out more about how I might be able to support you or your child, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I understand that choosing a professional to work with is a big investment and that it’s important to find the right fit, so I offer an introductory 15-minute phone call or Zoom meeting free of charge with no ongoing commitment. You’ve read this far – why not give it a try? You might be surprised by how much is possible…
