Alternative Provision placements at Yew Tree Farm School are arranged through commissioning schools or Local Authorities. We work collaboratively with professionals, parents and carers to ensure placements are appropriate, purposeful and well supported.
Who can book Alternative Provision
Alternative Provision placements are commissioned by schools or Local Authorities. Referrals are typically made by professionals working with the child or young person, in consultation with parents and carers.

Pricing and costs
The costs below provide an indication of pricing for Alternative Provision placements at Yew Tree Farm School. All placements are agreed in advance and tailored to individual needs.
Pricing (1:1 provision):
• Full day (9:30am–2:30pm): £250 + VAT per day
• Half day (9:30am–12:00pm or 12:00pm–2:30pm): £150 + VAT per day
All Alternative Provision sessions must be booked in termly blocks.

The prices above apply to 1:1 placements. Where schools wish to commission provision for a small group, bespoke packages can be discussed and costed according to staffing and support requirements.

Alternative Provision placements may be commissioned by schools or Local Authorities. In some cases, parents or carers may choose to commission provision directly and fund placements privately.

All placements are subject to availability and agreement that the provision can safely and appropriately meet the needs of the child or young person.
Types of placements offered
Alternative Provision placements at Yew Tree Farm School are flexible and are designed to meet individual needs. Placements may vary in length and structure depending on the purpose of the provision and the needs of the child or young person.

We aim to ensure that all Alternative Provision placements are planned carefully and are in the best interests of the child or young person. The booking process is designed to be clear and collaborative.
• Initial enquiry via the school office
• Discussion of needs, availability and suitability
• Agreement of placement structure, dates and costs
• Confirmation of booking for a termly block
