Proposed Secondary School
Yew Tree Farm School is in the process of developing a proposed secondary provision at our main site. This provision is intended to extend our existing offer to support older pupils who require a specialist, nurturing environment.
Current status
The proposed secondary provision is currently in the planning stage and is subject to registration and approval by the relevant regulatory bodies.
The provision is not yet open, and no placements can be offered until registration has been granted. Further information will be shared once the registration process has progressed.
Placements at Yew Tree Farm School are funded by Local Authorities and are accessed through referral.
Intended age range and focus
The proposed secondary provision is intended to support pupils of secondary school age who require a specialist, nurturing environment to access education successfully.
• Pupils with autism spectrum conditions
• Pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs
• Young people who have struggled in mainstream or other settings
• Pupils who would benefit from a small, structured provision
Approach and setting
The proposed secondary provision is planned to build on the values and principles that underpin Yew Tree Farm School, including a strong focus on relationships, emotional wellbeing and personalised support.
The provision is intended to operate from the main farm site, making use of the outdoor environment and practical learning opportunities, subject to registration and regulatory approval.
