Summer Fun at Yew Tree Farm School

Join us this summer for our Farm Trail favourites on selected Open Days:

Wednesday 2nd August and Thursday 3rd August 'What the Ladybird Heard'

​

Follow Hefty Hugh and Lanky Len's map around the farm, meeting and feeding the animals as you go. Come and spend time in our allotment using the magnifying glasses to look for minibeasts, can you find the ladybird? "Cluck said the Hen!", meet our birds and small animals in cuddle corner. Explore a range of What the Ladybird Heard crafts and activities in the canopy. Why not join us for campfire songs and stories and toast a marshmallow on the fire?

Wednesday 16th August and Thursday 17th August 'The Gruffalo'

​

Follow the footprints, feeding and meeting our larger animals along the way, to find the Gruffalo hiding with his friends in the woods. Meet the friends of the Mouse in cuddle corner, a chance to hold our little guinea pigs, hens, and bunnies. Explore the allotment and gather natural materials to use for your own alfresco art attack. Visit the canopy to explore a range of Gruffalo craft and activities. Why not join us for campfire songs and stories and toast a marshmallow on the fire?

Wednesday 30th August and Thursday 31st August 'Fairy Tales on the Farm'

​

The Three Billy Goats Gruff, can you help us make a bridge and tempt our goats across with yummy treats?

Goldilocks and The Three Bears, follow the trail of Goldilocks' hair ribbons to find our three bears having a teddy bears picnic, will you dare sitting in Daddy Bears chair?

The Three Little Pigs, can you recall the story with the help of our guinea pigs in cuddle corner?

Jack and the Beanstalk, help us prepare our cows for the market and visit the canopy for range of craft activities.

Why not join us for campfire songs and stories and toast a marshmallow on the fire?

Picnics are most welcome, we have several picnic tables situated around our campfire. Alternatively, feel free to bring a blanket and enjoy sitting beneath the trees beside our flourishing allotments.

​

Please note marshmallows are an additional cost, priced at £1 each.
